The National Museum of Classic Books was officially established in July 2012, with the approval of the State Commission Office of Public Sectors Reform, and officially opened to the public in 2014. Relying on the magnificent collection of the National Library, the National Museum of Classic Books is the first museum of classic books on the national level in China. The museum is located in the South Area of the National Library, with a total floor area of 11,549 square meters and 10 exhibition halls.
